The wines take their name from the Carthusian monks who have lived a life of solitude and prayer in the monastery of Santa Maria Scala Coeli since 1598.
Strong medium garnet red. A nice bouquet with cassis and elderberry, but also ripe raspberries. The well-proportioned body has a supple effect – an effect of the strong cocoa note and the spicy elderberry taste. This is followed by an intense, consistent finish.
