The Alicante Bouschet has made its way into Portugal via Mouchão and only the best wines ripen in the famous two barrels of Brazilian mahogany wood. It is produced only in years when the grapes reach an exceptional ripeness and quality.
Strong, dense ruby red. Based on a fresh herbal note, attractive berry and eucalyptus aromas develop. The body is concentrated and structured, smoky black tea nuances complement the dark fruit. Dark, highly complex to the long, tart finish. There are present tannins, but also mouth-filling, noble cocoa and powerful acidity.
